Dyno Tuning Utilizing PSI's dyno, advanced courses have a hands-on approach. Students will do what they learn. The Campus Located at the PSI business park in Hillsboro, OR, which also houses Portland Speed Industries headquarters. Trackside Tuning Advanced courses offers students the chance to experience the fast paced racing environment. Work With Supercars Here at IAP, students will have the opportunity to work with vehicles they will encounter working in the real world. Our test vehicles range from Lamborghini's to Supra's. Our test vehicles are supercars rather than econoboxes. Fabrication Courses Design and fabrication techniques will be discussed and further reinforced with hands-on experience. Metalworking, welding, and designing will be covered in IAP's various fabrication courses.

The Institute of Automotive Performance is located at the PSI business park in Hillsboro, OR which also houses Portland Speed Industries headquarters. With our own dedicated shop facility, fab shop, in-house chassis dyno and classroom area our students get to see first hand and interact with our faculty in a way thatgives them real world understanding of what it's like to work in a fast paced performance atmosphere.


I.A.P. is also located about thirty minutes from Portland International Raceway, a race track with a 1/4 mile dragstrip and test circuit.  The location offers the ability to have some trackside experience.
